Four annotated online pictures
This photograph demonstrates time movement where what has been captured will only occur at a particular moment in time. This looks as though it's a picture of a spinning light wheel at a fair. This is spinning so fast that it leaves behind trails of light that a camera is able to capture, as the human eye would not be able to see this in so detail without this photo. This photograph has been taken at night time so that the lights on the wheel are clearly evident against the midnight sky background. I like the colours in this picture along with the concept as it's creative and filled with fun.
This is another picture that has been taken at night time to make the lights more visible to the audience. In real life, at this place the photograph has been captured, these lights do not currently exist there. This is the amazing thing about movement photography; you can capture images like this that aren't usually there without being planned. The mixture of yellow and orange lights looks like a bunch of fireworks with a silhouette man standing beneath them. I like the sunset colours in this image because they make the setting look calm as well as crazy with all of the fireworks.
Movement is demonstrated in this photograph through blurred areas. The audience are aware that being on a set of swings means that you will be moving one way or another. A set of swings being the main object in this photograph already sets the topic for this picture; movement. There are six people swinging, two each at different stages of their swing. This indicates their different levels and their different swinging strengths, hence why they are all moving at different speeds and are at different heights.
I like this idea conveying movement photography. The lady in the centre is completely still and focused, whereas her surroundings are blurred and in the middle of moving. This photograph indicates how time could perhaps be standing still for the woman but ticking away for everybody else. Her dress is one of the focal points in this picture as it's a deep shade of dark pink/red against a dark colour background.
My definition of 'movement': An action in which allows something or someone to move.
