Image bank - Pattern

Image Bank

Beneath are a variety of images that I came across on the internet that all portray 'pattern'. Many of the photographs have been manmade, but patterns also comes in natural forms e.g. the shells, and the flower. Each photograph holds its own purpose, and provides me with oodles of inspiration if I were to continue with the topic 'pattern'.

This image is quite simply a photograph of a piece of french bread being cut into several tiny slices which, in my opinion, creates a delightful pattern. Plus, you can't go wrong with food.

An endless amount of patterns are found in pieces of clothing. The pair of shorts above contain a deep purple pattern with hints of  other colours printed on a white background; a common colour used to make something in the foreground stand out. The detail in the pattern is eyecatching and inspiring and most certainly original.

A beautiful piece of architecture would be one like the photograph above. It almost looks like an optical illusion, creating a pattern of ceiling curves right the way across. This pattern has also been manmade, therefore it's a deliberate arrangement.

I love this image. All of the padlock's locked to the fence are creating a pattern so bright and beautiful that if you were to walk past it, you wouldn't be able to help noticing it. I also like the fact that many more padlocks could continously be added to this fence and it would still be creating a pattern.
