The contrast of the berries in this photograph is a main focal point. The background, bowl and cream are all shades of white, meaning that the subject is what the viewer will focus on. The blackberries contrast with the strawberries and raspberries flawlessly, you can tell apart each individual fruit. The blackberries stand out more because black and white contrast together like a house on fire. This picture overall looks fresh and inviting to the taste buds.

The simple black and white block colours on this girls jumper is the contrast occuring in this picture. Other viewers may comment on the colour of her hair contrasting with the background, her skin tone and her top half. However I think that her clothes are the main focal point of contrast as her arms and legs blend in with the bottom section of the jumper, making the above features stand out a lot more. The line of contrast is clearly evident in this picture and some may say that it's discretely been displayed as it's the clothing that's being advertised, however as a photographer you notice the more technical forms behind a photograph.

I love the contrasting colours in this photograph. I feel that the bright orange trees positioned next to the dark colours tree is an outstanding contrast that's been captured perfectly in this picture. You can tell the difference between both trees as their colours are of completely different shades. I think that the singular white house is also a feature in this picture that stands out because it's clean white amongst a forest in the mountains. It's a very seasonal picture and captures autumn and winter in one shoot.

The footwear being worn in this picture are what contrasts. This a picture demonstrating opposites more than anything. A tomboy, casual chick would wear converse most of the time whereas a girly girl who enjoys dance would be in ballet shoes and leg warmers. If this picture was in colour, I assume that the converse would be black whilst the ballet shoes would be a lighter shade with baby pink leg warmers. The fact that this picture has had a black and white effect used on it gives both individuals a sense of equality as colour can't tell them apart. Pink compared to black is a large difference in personality, however here in this picture there's no obvious differences, just the footwear they're interested in. I think this picture is extremely clever.
